What is Organic?

What is Organic?

To put it simply, organic produce is grown without the use of conventional pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, genetically modified organisms, or ionizing radiation. To qualify as organic, a government-approved certifier inspects the farm, to ensure the rules are being followed to meet the standard of organic produce. The company that processes or handles the product must also be certified. At Schullo we process Organic Oats, Honey, Maple Syrup, Rice, Wheat Bran, Oat Bran, Agave and Panela, all are certified organic by the internationally recognized BCS Öko-Garantie GmbH from Germany. Our factory is also certified for handling and processing Organic products.
